Tournament Format
The Prep League Golf Tournament determines the Prep League champion in golf
each year. This year It was held at the Woodberry Forest Golf Club on May
16 & 17. Each of the ten schools in the Prep League sends a team
consisting of six golfers. The golfers tee off at 1:00 p.m. on Friday in a
shotgun start. They begin on Holes number One, Four, and Seven and play
eighteen holes in foursomes. The best four scores from each team are added
together for a total team score. Pairings on Saturday are determined by
the scores on Friday, and play begins at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The total
team scores from each day are added together to determine the final
standings. Individual All Prep honors are given to the golfers who shoot
the ten lowest 36 hole scores.
