This is the oldest project that I still have. I think I
was 17 when I built this crude but highly functional item, and I used it in my
car for years. I still use it to house my remaining cassettes.


I built several boxes similar to this one and gave them away
to friends. I didn't build much other than shelves and various other
things for apartments over the next 15 years, although I did work in the
construction business for about 5 years and therefore made minor contributions
to a number of projects in the Richmond area including Mills Godwin High
School. That changed when we bought our house and I got my workshop in
